lyrics
Let them paint their pictures in black and white
Who are they to tell me
What is wrong and what is right
Will they ever see the medium or grey
Glory be the grace of god, every waking day
In paradise I need you
In paradise I can
And so the argument goes on
Behind heavens holy doors
While their gods and angels plummet
To the dirt upon the floor
they will never gain entrance to my place
My paradise
In paradise
I don’t need you
In paradise I can’t
Once there was
Once there wasn’t
Once there could’ve been
Once a god
Or once a heathen
Sent to be a king
A nation
A generation
That sought his helping hand
Without hope
And no vision
They never found the promise land
Evades me now
And I don’t care

Compelling metallic hardcore with an unusual, but welcomed take on vocals. Matching more of a sound akin to Type O Negative meets Integrity, it shreds through wonderfully varied powerful songs.
Roaring in scope, there are many moments of more traditional furiousity, but most of the album maintains an air of spectacle due to the vocals. Not theatric, but they add a presence to the album. The guitars are properly riff filled, and the drums carry everything along with battering precision. Lorenzo
Blackened hardcore with the sheer heady power of stadium crust and the glacial melodies of second-wave black metal. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 10, 2023
